Its been a while since I've taken part in a challenge so I went on over to ColourQ and went with it!!! Pulled out my new Wplus9 set and had some fun!!!! Decided that i wanted to make the circle in the middle of the wreath instead of using the wreath die, just to give it some depth!! It was an interesting colour combo to work with but I like how it turned out!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

I know that deer are all the rage this year…but I haven't been 100% sold on it all yet. I did however make this card for a friend of mine…we have this on going joke about it and are constantly sending pins of deer cards (among other deer things) to each other!
A few months ago she made me a card with this deer on the inside and out side of a card…So I pealed this one off from the inside and decided to reuse it and send it back to her! I do actually like this card! I also used a lot of things from the Simon Says Stamp exclusive card kit to keep it fun!
Hope you are all having a great holiday so far!!! I know we sure are!!!
Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by!
Well its been a long while since I posted. Have been busy with my Simon Says card kit I received a while back! It was so much fun to work with I made a good amount of cards with it!
Here are a fewof my favs I want to share with you!
Few extra supplies beyond what was in the kit..but I did my best to use as much as I could!
I was given a challenge by a friend of mine who just started selling Steeped Tea. She was looking for some thank you cards to give out to hostesses after having a party, and her slogan was "keep calm and drink tea". She asked if I could find something like that to use. I searched the web and came across this lovely set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps. I'm personally a sucker for anything coffee related as it is, but having a real excuse to order made it so much better!!!
My goal was to keep the card simple but also wanted to give her a a couple options…I loved the simplicity of this design so I stuck with it!!! Hope she enjoys them as much as I did making them!!
Was finally able to get to my craft room today…Used my new Simon Says monthly card kit along with this weeks Clean and Simple sketch! I decided to take a break from Christmas cards today…as much as I love making them it sure was a nice change of pace!!!
Have a great weekend!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
A while ago while I was reading the Paper Crafts Connection blog...Saw the card and knew I had to make it! So I hit up Michaels and was able to find the embellishments (there was only 3 pkgs left...grabbed them all!) and created this!!!!
Was so grateful for some inspiration that day! Made this and a bunch of other cards too!!
I was looking around on the Simon Says Stamps page looking for some items and saw they have monthly card kits., sure I've noticed them before but I fell in love with everything that came in the October 2013 one! I continued looking through past kids and found that there wasn't one I didn't like. So I bit the bullet and signed up! So here is the first card I created with the October kit!!
A friend and I both decided to sign up for the kits so we could do projects together...our rule was making sure we use the embellishments that come with the kit...There are more than what you see here but I did use them!
Hope you all have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
I pulled out SU summer starfruit to see if there was any way I could make it look nice. Its alright just not a favourite to say the least!! I was able to come up with this card using the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge from this week. And I must say...it almost makes me want to order a whole package of the colour and make more holiday cards with it!!!
Hope you are all having a wonderful week!! Thanks so much for stopping by
So with yesterday being "world card making day" thought that I would attempt to hit my craft room and create...Thought about all the challenges I wanted to do and the only one that seemed to come together was this Cas-ual Friday challenge!
Hope you all had a great day creating for WCMD like I did!!!
Well life has been turned upside down again...so there hasn't been as much creating going on as I would like!! But I did find this card I made weeks ago that I thought I would share!!!
For the flowers and leaves I used moulding clay. Mixed in some glitter rolled it out thin waited for it to dry (a complete day minimum for sure) then used the dies to cut out the flowers and stamped on it! Its a very fun extra texture for the card!!! Thanks for stopping by!! Chera
I have a feather fetish going on right now!! These Wplus9 ones are making me want to make every card with some sort of feather on it!!!
I used a couple techniques on this card!! And I have to say I love it! (Yes tooting my own horn!) For the feathers I used water color paper using 2 shades of yellow and gray... then took the feather die and cut them out. Went in different directions with the die to give the feathers their own unique look! Used some smooch spray and called it good!!! Hope you are all having a great day! I am currently enjoying some quiet time as my older 2 are at school all day and my littlest man is taking a nap!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Chera

Well I'm back after a very busy summer away! Its so nice to be home sweet home....and an almost done craft space??? Oh yes!! I sat in there for a couple hours yesterday amongst the chaos of it all! Now to paint some of the furniture pieces that need to go in there then organize organize organize!! But I must say its good to not me crafting at a table in my master bedroom anymore! Think my husband is more happy about that than me as my table was on his side of of the bed....he often found beautiful paper scraps all over the place!!! So the first card I'm going to post for you is my Clean and Simple card for this weeks challenge! I've sure missed contributing so its nice to be back!!!
For this card I was stamping with some friends and we had made some shimmer mist! Hard to tell in the picture but I sprayed some on the black (it has a greenish hugh to it) and just some classic white shimmery on the white paper! This was one of the techniques from the Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-faire weekend!
Well thats all for today!! Hope you all had a great summer and if your kids aren't yet back to school a great back to school for them too!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Well week one of our actual summer vacation has come and gone!! Great time camping with the family. Now back at home cleaning and doing laundry packing up for the next adventure. So there probably won't be to much action on my blog for the next month or so...much to my dismay! But hoping to have one completed card making studio upon my arrival!! Oh to not sit in my bedroom and work anymore....perish the thought! I was asked to make some blank cards with no sentiments. For whatever reason I have a hard time with them...anyone else find that too?? Heres one I created a while back!
Hope everyone is having a great summer!! Thanks for stopping by! Chera

Finally, after a busy weekend, birthday parties and sick kids I was able to do this weeks Clean and Simple Sketch. I had envisioned a different card than the one I created...but I'm sure that happens to many of you crafters out there.
I had originally used the matching dies and had all the banners cut out...but decided against it! Liked the stamped on paper look better!!
Have a great week everyone!

Good morning!! Well I thought I would post my Clean and Simple card for you! Its been up on that blog for a few days now but its pretty and I want to share it here too!!
I had been playing around with all different kinds of flowers to make the card work...and finally decided to rummage through my box of gift wrapping stuff and pulled out the tissue paper!!! Such a simple flower with so much detail! I used the SU Blossom punch...punched out a whole bunch of layers. After that I used my paper pierce poked the hole to putt he brad through.Once it was all together I took my scissors and cut up the pedals (just a small snip to give it more dimension) then scrunched it and voila! Super easy to make! Could probably use an assortment of flower punches for different looks!!
