mom

I just seriously can't get enough of these Wplus9 flowers!! So happy to have this set in my collection!! This card was also my first card using embossing paste!! Something everyone should try!! I used a Heidi Swapp stencil I found at Michaels just to add a soft detail to the card!

I used distress ink on the flowers and leaves so I could do a tiny bit of watercolouring. I think I love distress ink!! Not sure thats a good thing or not…have enough stuff in my room already!

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by!

geometrics

I love the look of geometrics. It always catches my eye!! I just didn't realize how out of the box it would feel for me to actually make a card with it!

I had the birthday die cut left over from this card and didn't want it to go to to waste. I pulled out my new Wplus9 inks and started stamping triangles and this is how it turned out!! I added a few other colours and even popped a few of them up for some added dimension.

Well I hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by!!

three thirds

I've been on a Wplus9 kick lately. Just recently got all her new inks added to my collection and a few new stamp sets as well!!! So yesterday I pulled everything out and started creating!

I was very intrigued with this months CAS-ual Friday challenge. Three things on 1/3 of a card front. So I started die cutting out the flowers and stamping away!! I'm very happy with this clean and simple creations!! Three flowers with a three word sentiment on 1/3 of the card seems to be complete!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

splatter fun

This week I finally had some time to make a couple cards! I watched Papertrey Inks Make it Monday video and was inspired!! I pulled out some colours and went to town!!! My first creation using this technique was this card below...

I grabbed some bright colours…On the make it monday video they used a die cut inlay. A technique I have not yet tried so I put it to good use! Love how it turned out!! So much fun to  make!

Supplies:
Paper: melon mambo, white
Ink: calyso coral, melon mambo, rose red
Stamps: wonderful words birthday mini
Accessories: birthday die, paint brush and water, sponge daubers

Next up I made this card….

This weeks Clean and Simple sketch screamed out to me! Love this layout…a go to for me! I decided to flip in on its side tho, still using the make it monday technique. However with the water droplets on this card I did at random by putting water on the brush and flicking it as opposed to being purposeful to where I was adding the water. This beautiful colour combo comes from this weeks Colour Me…!  challenge, they blended together so nicely (after a few tries of course)..The sentiment was heat embossed in white then I stamped the feather behind the three window boxes which goes along side the CAS-ual Friday challenge. Then I popped up the coloured paper to five some dimension. So many quick details to give it that pretty look!!!

Supplies:
Paper: white
Ink: bermuda bay, coastal cabana, pacific point, tempting turquoise, versa mark
Stamps: fancy feathers
Accessories: white embossing powder, square punch, paint brush with water

Hope you enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by!

Here is another quick mothers day card I made using the Stampin Up! sale-a-bration goodies I got! The hardest part was picking the colour combo to use! All I knew is that I wanted to have a gold butterfly for some sparkle on there!!!

mothers day and gelatos

Today I was really wanted to use my Faber-Castell Gelatos…I've had them for a while now and have hardly played with them! So I pulled them out and created this beauty!

So with this card I took a 3 by 4 1/4" paper, white heat embossed the flowers and leaves on it then coloured with the gelatos spritzed it with water and took a paint brush to blend it all in, let it dry then wipe of access with a baby wipe (Instagram pic below showing each stage). Adhered it to the old olive paper then onto the eggplant. Once that was done I heat embossed the sentiment over top...

This card is a fav of mine…so many easy elements to give it that classic look!!
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!
