Kennedy Grace August Blog hop

I've been away on holidays for a few weeks but had some time to squeeze in a card for this awesome release! However I had a time crunch so I decided to make the same card different ways to show you how versatile it can be!

Up first up, just simply stamped all in black! I added some clear moonbeam sequins for an added touch and of course some gold splatter to go with the gold accent I did on the side!

For this one I found my inner Laura Baseen and pulled out the distress inks and did some ink blending! I first white heat embossed the flowers! After it dried I did some plain water spatter for some added detail and of course the moonbeam sequins! (distress ink colours are: blueprint sketch, peacock feather and cracked pistachio)

Lastly I did a bit of super super simple watercoloring using my distress inks. I had gone back and forth on if I should also white heat emboss the image or just stamp in black! You can see what I chose! this one has a bit of the abandoned coral distress ink splatter along with some gold with the final touch of moonbeam sequins!

Hope you enjoy todays hop!!!

Hello friend CTS173

Went scrolling through some challenge blogs to get some inspiration!! And came up with this creation! Using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch

Knew I wanted to use triangles like in the sketch so I pulled out a holiday set from Wplus9 called twenty fifteen. I stamped the image in versa fine black ink onto water colour paper. I then added the colours to the triangles. I went pretty random in the painting, did try a little to give it a ombre look but in the end it didn't really matter much after all the layer (wasn't to sure at the time what my plan was). After I finally figured out an arrangement for the triangles I took a picture so I wouldn't forget (cause my brain isn't full functioning right now apparently). I them pulled out the Hand lettered Hello die and stamp set also from Wplus9. I adhered it all together then decided to trim down the card front so I could add some colour to the side then stamped friend. Once that was all said and done and in place I added some Kennedy Grace Creations sequin mix Sunshine on Daisies. And that is my completed card!!

Hello Beautiful

Love when you are randomly stamping things and it turns into a card!!  Thats what happened with this card I made!

When I made this card I had very limited supplies with me...mostly just inks and some stamp sets! So I thought I would try some fun colour combos and I absolutely loved this one!! Of course those are some Wplus9 Inks (my fav as I've mentioned many times before) alone with some Simon Says Stamp  stamps that came in some cards kits!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

Mothers Day

Hey everyone! Hope your week is going great so far! I thought I would share with you a couple Mothers Day cards I created this year!!

I had so much fun with this one! I even demoed it for National scrapbooking day at my local craft store (using the Misti of course). I had gotten this newer flower set from MFT and it was so cheery I instantly thought of Mothers Day and spring! Pulled out my Wplus9 inks cause they are my ultimate fav! And last but not least just had to use my new concord and 9th stamp set! oh that font is so rocking my world!!!

My youngest son has an obsession with butterflies and whenever he is "helping" me in my craft room I have to stamp butterflies! Thats how this card came to be. He was still a little sad that they aren't purple but said it was ok! I on the other hand loved the colour combo! Once again some fabulous Wplus9 inks, butterflies are from PTI and of course that beautiful sentiment set from Concord and 9th!

Hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for stopping by!

April Kennedy Grace blog hop

Good morning and welcome to the Kennedy Grace April Blog Hop!
We are so happy you joined us for this special event!!
Our newest release is now live and available to purchase in the store!

For todays card I wanted to have this elegant look. So i started out by white heat embossing the floral image al over the back of my card panel! That delicate flower is just so lovely in heat emboss! After I finished the background I then stamped another image onto a separate sheet of paper so that I could fussy cut it out. I'm so not a fussy cutter kind of gal but the way this card turned out it was sooo worth the time it took! I then took a blender pen and ink to colour the flower and leaves (think its some old retired Stampin Up! inks that were sitting on my desk at the time!) once I had it all coloured I knew I wanted it popped up on the card front and no better way to do that then by adding a stitched vellum circle die to it! Once that was all completed I found some scrap black paper and heat embossed the sentiment in white did a little cutting to make it fit around the image. To finish the card off I added a strip of gold card stock! And there you have my card for today!!

We will be giving away one prize of $15 to the Kennedy Grace Shop to one lucky winner!

We hope you enjoyed this release and will hop along to see what the other talented designers have made using new stamps and sequins from the April release!

One layer fun!

Hey everyone hope you've had a wonderful week!! Todays card is a pretty quick one layer card! My favourite kinds to do! (well the quick part anyway). And if you follow me at all you will notice i'm in love with making my own background paper!!! Todays card is no different!

To start this card off I first stamped the sentiment so it would be easier to place the other images around it (sentiment is Simon Says Stamp). Once that was stamped I went around and stamped all the other floral images from Wplus9 Doodle Buds stamp set. After that was completed I then flipped the stamps the other way onto my block to get the solid image, they don't all match and I'm good with that! I used Wplu9 pure colour dye inks  (they are really my fav but honestly any ink would work for this technique). And there you have my card for today!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Kennedy Grace February blog hop

Good morning crafty friends and welcome to the Kennedy Grace February blog hop! We are so happy you joined us for this special event!!

Our newest release is live and now available to purchase in store!

Heres What I've created for you today!

My first card I wanted to do something a little different for you. I took a piece of cardstock and die cut the butterflies out of it. Then took put it on top the card base and traced around so I knew the size of the butterflies. Once I had that done I took some sookwang tape and put it overtop the area I had traced. And one by one added the sequins to their designated areas! I really love the fun loving nature of this card! And just another way to use those sequins!!!

My second card for you today is a technique out of Jennifer McGuires book! The card she made truly inspired me and I had to try it out (click here for her tutorial!)

Sequins used on todays card
Morning glory

dad

Hey everyone! Hope you're doing great today!! So I'm going to start off by saying I know its no where near fathers day, and yes my card is fathers day related!! Never to early to start right? Well my reasoning for todays card is for an upcoming class I'm doing at the local scrap store! Had some ladies ask for more masculine cards!

I knew right away with the request for the card type that I needed to pull out Wplus9 So 80s set. For me it screams masculine (even tho I've made feminine cards with it as well!) I'm also using some wplus9 ink and to fill in the area more I did some generation stamping. I have this dad die from lil inkers and I love it! Love how the 'a' is connected! Just perfect. added the sentiment underneath (also lil inkers mom and dad sentiment) and called this card done! Its a super easy one to make! Love mostly one layer cards! I won't lie tho, the placement of stuff did take me a while (thus the generation stamping)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Love you

Ok. I know most of you know this already...but the Misti is seriously my favourite. It made todays card super easy to do!!

For this card I decided to do some generational stamping. I had originally done this card in red using simon says stamp lipstick red ink which worked beautifully. (this is one of those techniques you need to test out your inks cause some work better then others). For this card however I needed up using Stampin Up! calypso coral to work with his lovely batch of sequins from Kennedy Grace Creations! I stamped the love 4 times on the card front moving it up a half an inch each time I stamped to give the gradient look! So quick and easy for some extra texture to the card. Added the you in black in then cut a black strip of paper and white heat embossed on it. Finished it up by adding this fabulous sequin mix!!

I really encourage you to try this out with some of your inks you have! I just love the finished product!!

Kennedy Grace Creations Blog Hop

Good Morning Crafty Friends and welcome to the very first Kennedy Grace Creations Blog Hop!! We are so happy you have stopped by and joined us for this very special event!!! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase!

Heres what I've created for you today!!

I had so much fun making this shaker card using some new Papertrey ink goodies I got a while back!! That heart die I so have a crush on!! Anyway I decided to do a see through window shaker card for you. And I will admit, I find it a much easier kind of shaker card to make then adding all that foam tape. And wow does it showcases those shaker bits & things or what?? I seriously can't get enough of this mix! Its so soft and subtle but works so well with the rich distress colours I used today!! I enjoyed it so much I had to make another card for you!

For this one I used all the same distress ink colours dies stamps you name it all the same but a completely different look all together!!! For anyone who missed some of the other cards I made using other mixes head on over to my Facebook page or Instagram account and you can see them there!!

We will be giving away a prize package to one lucky winner.
