Kennedy Grace February blog hop

Good morning crafty friends and welcome to the Kennedy Grace February blog hop! We are so happy you joined us for this special event!!

Our newest release is live and now available to purchase in store!

Heres What I've created for you today!

My first card I wanted to do something a little different for you. I took a piece of cardstock and die cut the butterflies out of it. Then took put it on top the card base and traced around so I knew the size of the butterflies. Once I had that done I took some sookwang tape and put it overtop the area I had traced. And one by one added the sequins to their designated areas! I really love the fun loving nature of this card! And just another way to use those sequins!!!

My second card for you today is a technique out of Jennifer McGuires book! The card she made truly inspired me and I had to try it out (click here for her tutorial!)

dad

Hey everyone! Hope you're doing great today!! So I'm going to start off by saying I know its no where near fathers day, and yes my card is fathers day related!! Never to early to start right? Well my reasoning for todays card is for an upcoming class I'm doing at the local scrap store! Had some ladies ask for more masculine cards!

I knew right away with the request for the card type that I needed to pull out Wplus9 So 80s set. For me it screams masculine (even tho I've made feminine cards with it as well!) I'm also using some wplus9 ink and to fill in the area more I did some generation stamping. I have this dad die from lil inkers and I love it! Love how the 'a' is connected! Just perfect. added the sentiment underneath (also lil inkers mom and dad sentiment) and called this card done! Its a super easy one to make! Love mostly one layer cards! I won't lie tho, the placement of stuff did take me a while (thus the generation stamping)

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Love you

Ok. I know most of you know this already...but the Misti is seriously my favourite. It made todays card super easy to do!!

For this card I decided to do some generational stamping. I had originally done this card in red using simon says stamp lipstick red ink which worked beautifully. (this is one of those techniques you need to test out your inks cause some work better then others). For this card however I needed up using Stampin Up! calypso coral to work with his lovely batch of sequins from Kennedy Grace Creations! I stamped the love 4 times on the card front moving it up a half an inch each time I stamped to give the gradient look! So quick and easy for some extra texture to the card. Added the you in black in then cut a black strip of paper and white heat embossed on it. Finished it up by adding this fabulous sequin mix!!

I really encourage you to try this out with some of your inks you have! I just love the finished product!!
