April Kennedy Grace blog hop

Good morning and welcome to the Kennedy Grace April Blog Hop!
We are so happy you joined us for this special event!!
Our newest release is now live and available to purchase in the store!

For todays card I wanted to have this elegant look. So i started out by white heat embossing the floral image al over the back of my card panel! That delicate flower is just so lovely in heat emboss! After I finished the background I then stamped another image onto a separate sheet of paper so that I could fussy cut it out. I'm so not a fussy cutter kind of gal but the way this card turned out it was sooo worth the time it took! I then took a blender pen and ink to colour the flower and leaves (think its some old retired Stampin Up! inks that were sitting on my desk at the time!) once I had it all coloured I knew I wanted it popped up on the card front and no better way to do that then by adding a stitched vellum circle die to it! Once that was all completed I found some scrap black paper and heat embossed the sentiment in white did a little cutting to make it fit around the image. To finish the card off I added a strip of gold card stock! And there you have my card for today!!

We will be giving away one prize of $15 to the Kennedy Grace Shop to one lucky winner!

We hope you enjoyed this release and will hop along to see what the other talented designers have made using new stamps and sequins from the April release!

Your next stop on the hop is Jessica

One layer fun!

Hey everyone hope you've had a wonderful week!! Todays card is a pretty quick one layer card! My favourite kinds to do! (well the quick part anyway). And if you follow me at all you will notice i'm in love with making my own background paper!!! Todays card is no different!

To start this card off I first stamped the sentiment so it would be easier to place the other images around it (sentiment is Simon Says Stamp). Once that was stamped I went around and stamped all the other floral images from Wplus9 Doodle Buds stamp set. After that was completed I then flipped the stamps the other way onto my block to get the solid image, they don't all match and I'm good with that! I used Wplu9 pure colour dye inks  (they are really my fav but honestly any ink would work for this technique). And there you have my card for today!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
Cheer~
